Luton Town, the recent entrant to the Premier League, brings a remarkable record of 5 promotions in 9 years.

Despite bolstering their squad with seasoned players like Ross Barkley and promising talents such as Mads Andersen and Tahith Chong, they are considered favorites to compete with the Championship clubs next season.

As a Luton Town manager, the odds are highly stacked against you in FM24.

Can you keep the fairy tail going?

They’re on a mission to sign as many wonderkids as the game has to offer. And that’s what makes AFC Bournemouth one of the most talented teams in Football Manager 24.

With Andoni Iraola at the helm, the club has made some serious commitments to create a wonderkid-studded squad.

OGC Nice

With the departure of some of the big names from PSG, League 1 seems to be finding some of its competitiveness back this season.

OGC Nice is one of the teams that’s making ripples in the top French league. And they’ve got every right to do so!

Why should you manage OGC Nice in FM 24?

Well, the answer is simple. They’ve got Terem Moffi!

An absolute beast in attack, Terem Moffi can wreak havoc on any defense in the world. There’s no stopping him right now!

There’s also Jean-Clair Todibo, Roamin Perraud, Youcef Atal, and Hicham Boudaoui to back up this madness!

AZ

We’re going to shift our focus to the Netherlands for a bit.

Although the Eredivisie is typically overshadowed by the big three, it’s surprisingly competitive, offering ample opportunities for your AZ team to surpass expectations.

Armed with a potent strike force featuring Pavlidis and Karlsson, and a pool of talent across the field, there’s every possibility to unsettle the prominent teams in your debut season.

Additionally, with burgeoning talents like Rome-Jayden Owusu-Oduro, Ernest Poku, and Yusuf Barasi, AZ is poised for a new era of dominance in Dutch football.

FC Nuremberg

Nuremberg is a German second-division team that narrowly escaped relegation threats in the last season. The once-dominant German team has seen a decline over the years, landing in the second tier.

As a manager, your mission is to steer them clear of relegation to the third division.

Once the hard part is done, you’ve got to build upon your success. Propel them into the top tier and secure their tenth Bundesliga title. The challenge is significant.

Predicted to clinch fourth place, it may not be as tough as reality, where they struggled considerably.

This historically rich club boasts a youthful and talented first 11. With a core of young German players, your strategy involves elevating them to the top division, establishing their presence, and eventually challenging Bayern Munich’s Bundesliga reign.

Malaga

Malaga, once a team commonly revitalized in Football Manager, has faced a recent downward spiral. Their real-life relegation to Spain’s third division marks a stark contrast to their European football participation a decade ago.

In the past, Malaga was a frequent contender in Spain’s top division, achieving a notable fourth-place finish in 2011. However, with each passing season, their performance steadily declined, resulting in their recent relegation from the Spanish second division. Notably, they possess a 30,000-seat stadium.

As you step into the managerial role, your pivotal task is to reverse Malaga’s misfortunes, guiding them towards reclaiming a spot in La Liga.

Reading

Financial issue and point deduction has seen Reading being relegated to the third division of English football. So you’ll pretty much be in charge of a Reading FC that’s in financial ruins in Football Manager 24.

As a manager, you’ll have to help the team climb back up to the Championship in FM24.

There’s a lot that needs fixing.

You’re left with a lot of players who’re sucking down your wages. Then there’s the challenge of keeping your Finances in check.

And once you manage to secure a promotion back to the Championship, the task doesn’t end there.

Reading fans are ambitious. They will always keep you on your toes to push forward each season.

Expectations are high. And you need to deliver.

Leeds United

It’s been a tumultuous year for Leeds United, seeing three managerial changes and a lot of poor management.

Their recruitment since entering the Premier League has been far from stellar.

While Leeds displayed promise initially upon entering the league, subsequent years have been challenging. The squad harbors high-wage players and individuals who perceive themselves as above the Championship level, although overall, it’s not a top-tier squad.

Your objective with Leeds is to bring them back to the top tier of English football. Once you achieve that, you’ll have to build upon it in the subsequent years.

Leeds fans have a knack for attacking football. If that’s your preferred style, you’ll have a lovely time playing in the Championship.

Rochdale

Rochdale has faced a significant setback, slipping out of the  EFL competition for the first time in their 103-year history!

In recent times, Rochdale has been a consistent presence in League One and League Two. Just a few years ago, they competed in League One before dropping to League Two, and now they’ve hit the lowest point, finding themselves in the fifth division, the Vanarama National League.

Your role as a manager is to swiftly guide them back up, maintaining a position in the EFL, but it’s evident that substantial work awaits at this club. It’s a great lower-league club to begin your FM24 journey!

Rochdale doesn’t have any extravagant facilities, which is typical for clubs in the lower divisions.

So anticipate a major rebuild for the club, especially considering that most of their current players are likely to depart by the start of the next season.

You’ll be slapped with a tight wage budget and a whole lot of financial challenges. Failing to restore them back to the EFL will only bring colder winters.

Inter Miami

You probably saw it coming.

Anyways, if you’re looking for an out-of-ordinary challenge outside of Europe, consider taking on Inter Miami in FM24.

After a lackluster season and residing bottom of the table, the team was supercharged with the inclusion of notable signings like Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba, and of course, the GOAT himself, Lionel Messi!

Beyond the humor of these acquisitions, the objective with Inter Miami is clear: lift them from the division’s depths, establishing a strong foundation to progress up the league ladder.

This climb opens doors for signing additional top-tier players, enhancing the team’s competitiveness.

Notably, Inter Miami is under the ownership of David Beckham, hinting at potential future legendary signings.

Embarking on an MLS save, in general, promises a thrilling experience, especially if you haven’t explored this league before.

This is your chance to initiate a new era in the MLS, particularly with Inter Miami, and endeavor to craft an American Dynasty. Take the leap and witness your journey unfold in this vibrant football landscape.

FC Groningen

If you haven’t managed in the Netherlands before, consider starting a save with Groningen in FM24. The promises an exceptional experience with a significant focus on nurturing young talents.

Despite Groningen’s recent struggles that led to their relegation after more than two decades in the top flight, the club has a rich history of producing exceptional players, including the likes of Virgil van Dijk.

The team’s emphasis on youth development and the potential to cultivate promising talent for future profits make Groningen an interesting pick.

On arrival, you’ll be handed excellent facilities to build a strong foundation for nurturing and developing young players.

The fans would demand an attacking brand of football. So keep that in mind before taking on the responsibility.

There won’t be any immediate pressure on you to get back to Eredivisie. But if you can dish out a promotion with them, the sky is the limit.

Benfica

Moving on to Portugal, we got Benfica as the best team to manage in FM24 in the Portuguese league!

Granted it’s not the most challenging save out there, but managing Benfica in FM24 offers a ton of scouting opportunities.

Benfica has an extensive scouting network all over the world. Especially in the South America regions where they get their endless supply of wonderkids!

Your primary league goal is to establish Benfica as Portugal’s dominant force. Expected to contend closely with Porto, Braga, and Sporting CP, claiming the top spot is imperative.

However, the Champions League is where Benfica seeks their true glory.

Your task is to defy this curse through smart recruitment and utilizing the talent within the Benfica squad.

With promising wonderkids like Joao Veloso, recent signing Andreas Schjelderup, and defensive gem Antonio Silva, alongside talented prospects in the under-23s and under-19s, Benfica possesses the potential to achieve greatness.

Despite their tendency to sell top talents, strategic recruitment and retaining key players could propel the team towards European silverware and finally break the curse haunting the club since the ’60s.
